Terms of Service

Last updated September 28, 2026

These terms govern your use of Murmurs. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use Murmurs for a business, you confirm that you have authority to act for that business. Please contact hello@murmurs.im with questions about these terms.

What Murmurs does

Murmurs monitors public social posts matching the active keywords in your project, uses automated analysis to identify conversations your business may be able to contribute to, and organizes the results for your team. Setup may use your website and other public web pages to suggest keywords and a business description. You can edit keywords and project details, review filtered posts, and manage your team's inbox. Murmurs does not connect your social account or post replies for you; you decide whether and how to respond on the original platform.

Accounts and team access

You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for activity under it. Project owners can invite managers and viewers; access and permissions depend on each person's role. Only the project owner may manage billing, invitations and project deletion. Keep information you submit accurate and invite only people authorized to see the project's data.

Your content and acceptable use

You retain rights to the business information, keywords, descriptions and images you submit. You give us permission to host and process that information as needed to provide the service, including fetching your submitted website and sending relevant content to providers for research and analysis. You must have the right to provide that information and must not use Murmurs to violate law, others' rights, or the rules of the social platform. Do not attempt to bypass plan limits or security controls, disrupt the service, or use it to harass, spam or scrape information unlawfully. We may restrict access where needed to prevent abuse or comply with law.

Plans, payment and cancellation

The free trial includes a one-time allowance of 50 posts analyzed, with keyword and seat limits. Unused trial allowance expires. Paid plans have per-project subscriptions with monthly or annual billing, analysis allowances, keyword limits and seat limits shown in the pricing section and at checkout. Each successfully analyzed unique post for a project counts toward its allowance, including posts placed in Filtered; a failed analysis does not count. Collection pauses when the allowance is exhausted, the free trial expires, or a subscription is inactive. Posts published during a pause are not collected later as a backfill.

Creem is the payment provider and merchant of record for paid subscriptions. By purchasing, you agree to the price and billing interval displayed at checkout and to Creem's applicable checkout terms. You can change your plan or cancel from the project's billing settings. Plan changes may result in prorated charges; an ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Deleting a project removes access to it and triggers immediate cancellation of its linked subscription instead. For payment or refund questions, contact hello@murmurs.im; any refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and Creem's payment terms.

Public posts and automated results

Social posts belong to their respective authors and platforms; Murmurs does not grant you rights to republish them. Availability, search coverage and post details depend on outside sources and may change or be incomplete. Suggested keywords, business descriptions, relevance decisions and categories are generated automatically and can be inaccurate. Review them before relying on them or contacting anyone. We do not promise that any particular conversation will be found or lead to a business result.

Availability and responsibility

We may change, suspend or discontinue features or limit access to protect the service, comply with law or address technical issues. We aim to keep Murmurs available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free results. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service; nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Ending use and changes to these terms

You may stop using Murmurs at any time. An owner can delete a project in settings; if you need help with account data, contact hello@murmurs.im. We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date above and give notice of material changes where required. Your continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them, except where law requires us to obtain further consent. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information.
